Ki Bio is a nicotine pouch startup with a vision: natural, sustainable ingredients presented through a design that reflects both premium quality and Japanese Zen ethos. As the lead designer, I developed the branding system from the ground up, creating the typography palette, color system, and tone of voice for communications.

On the packaging side, my team and I collaborated with manufacturers to source a biodegradable, non-plastic puck that aligned with the client’s sustainability goals. I worked directly with printers to maximize impact within budget, applying raised UV finishes, metallic accents, and careful prepress supervision to deliver production-ready files.

Because this was an early-stage startup seeking investors, speed and precision were critical. Every design decision balanced storytelling, regulatory compliance in coordination with FDA guidelines, and technical execution. The result is a packaging system that feels crafted, modern, and deeply rooted in Zen philosophy. It evokes the timeless elegance of Japanese handmade artistry while positioning Ki Bio as a forward-thinking premium brand.
